Swimming with the pigs was an excursion of a lifetime that I will never forget. Not only did I travel alone, while staying in an all inclusive resort in this beautiful tropical paradise, but I also met my best friend Ida on this swimming pigs trip. We both were traveling alone and now we travel the world together.

On this trip we swam with pigs, saw iguanas, swam with sharks, and swam in the most beautiful crystal clear I've ever seen in my life. Seriously, no filter needed!
Bahama Mama
The Bahamas was my favorite trip so far. And yes, I know what you are thinking, those poor animals. I'm vegan again, I wasn't at that time last year, but I've always loved animals even more than humans. I can't speak on what goes on after the tourist leave and can't answer any questions about the animals. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about visiting these animals since I've done it. All I can say is that they were fed and happy at the moment we visited them. I can only share my experience personally, which was amazing. I would have chosen to give up my life in LA and stayed with the pigs and lived on that island forever if I could have. I don't agree with or support zoos, aquaria, & etc. or any animals being harmed for profit. It breaks my heart to hear all the heart crushing stories. I would say I have become more of an animal activist and grown into a feminist over the years. I hope they are all still living out there happy, full of love and life, being treated well, being fed, and at peace. After saying all that; I still feel like as clique as it sounds, I believe that you should be true to yourself, live your life, and do whatever you want that makes you happy. Its your life, and your truth is different than mine or anyone else's so take care of you first. (ie: love yourself first) XO
