I need a six month holiday twice a year

Updated: Feb 19, 2019

In September my best friend Ida & I went to Tulum, Mexico for the first time and all I can say is WOW it was so breathe taking and such a magical place.

All I want is to be that tan again!

My skin has never looked and felt so fresh.

Although, I did get really bad bug bites and it was raining the first couple of days when we got there, the trip overall was spectacular.

We stayed at Tunich jungle cabanas and restaurant which has the best vegan brekkie in town. I would highly recommend that you check them out & ask for Blaine the owner and tell him that I sent you. You won't be disappointed! Tunich also has really fresh salads, fruit, coconuts, & smoothies, and it is super reasonably priced.

We visited the cenotes (caves) and besides hanging with my bestie, tanning, and eating clean, that was the highlight of our trip in my opinion. I was told that the cenotes were created when the meteors hit earth (back in the dinosaur ages) the denotes were underground water caved and that the cave water is magnetized and is said to have mystical powers. I really think it helped my skin and hair by going swimming in them. I've also heard stories that people go missing and are never found & some murders happened in some of the cenotes. It was spooky and but also like we were living and walking into a dream.

We visited Cenote Suytun & Cenote Sac Actun.

Cenote Sac Actun was first and it was so incredibly beautiful. It was like walking into an actual fairytale.

Our taxi driver Tadeo (who blaine at Tunich recommended to us) was our amigo fer sure! He took us to both cenotes and for a great price.

Cenote Suytun was really far but so worth it. We went there and then straight to the airport the day that we left back to Los Angeles. Cenote Suytun looks like something from a movie. It is seriously out of this world.

I honestly love Mexico! Tulum near (Azuik) the touristy hotel parts are kinda pricey but totally worth experiencing and checking out. Tata Tulum gave us a free day pass to check out and has the best wifi and drinks around!

There are lots of cool restaurants and hotels to check out but it is way different than Tulum (the actual city).

The actual tulum city is more like a real authentic Mexico vibe.

The beach behind our hotel was phenomenal. It was also next to Azuik beach. That hotel is insane in the membrane. If you have the funds for it I would definelty tell you to check it out.

We didn't go to any bars or clubs. We had a more low key girls trip but still ended up being one of the best trips I've ever been on besides the Bahamas trip we went on a couple years ago.

I love traveling to tropical beach places because I am such a beach bum. I love taking naps in my hotel robe and falling asleep on the beach and waking up with a tan. If that's what every holiday is all about then count me in. I mean come on, I love it...so no wonder I live at the beach.
